In the context of the rapid development of China＇s cold-chain logistics market, this paper studies the development pattern and characteristics of north American railway cold-chain logistics, which is of great significance for the construction of China railway cold-chain logistics system. Through analysis on the North American railway cold-chain logistics＇ three development models and characteristics, in terms of policies and regulation, service products, carrying equipment, base installation and information technology, etc, the paper puts forward several aspects of the inspirations and countermeasures for the development of China railway cold-chain logistics, for example, where we should develop diversified business models, establish the cold-chain base network, build the integrated information platform, promote the integration of multi-modal transport and cultivate a good environment for cold-chain logistics, etc. The results can be a reference for the development of cold-chain logistics in China.
