Objective:To probe into the effects of internal fixation with mini plate and Kirschner wire in treatment of metacarpal and phalangeal fractures. Methods : 76 cases of patients with metacarpal and phalangeal fracture and who treated in our hospital from February 2016 to January 2017 were selected as the research objects, and were grouped by the random number table method, the group A and group B, with 38 cases in each group. The A group were received mini internal plate fixation, while the B group were received the internal fixa-fion with Kirschner wire. Then, the operation time, postoperative joint flexion, fracture healing time and complication rate of two groups of patients were observed. Results: The operation time in the A group was shorter than that in the B group, and the fracture healing time was shorter than that in the B group, and the postoperative joint flexion was greater than that in the B group, the difference was statistically sig- nificant (P 〈 0.05) ;The incidence of complications after the operation such as joint stiffness, infection, delayed union and fixture ad- verse reaction in A group was lower than that in B group, and the difference was statistically significant (P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion: The mini plate internal fixation in treatment of metacarpal and phalangeal fracture, which the fracture healing time and restoration of joint cur- vature are better than that Kirschner wire fixation, and it can reduce the risk of postoperative complications, thus it has higher promotion Value.
