Objective: To explore the application effect of extended nursing based on internet platform in elderly patients with enterostoma. Methods: A historical control study was conducted in 40 elderly patients after enterostomy from July 2015 to July 2016 as control group. From July 2016 to July 2017,46 cases of elderly patients after enterostomy patient as experimental group.Control group took regular discharge guidance and telephone follow-up,the experimental group used the internet platform for continuous nursing. The incidence and quality of life of ostomy in the first month and the third month after discharge from both groups were statistically measured and compared. Results: In the first month after discharge, the complications of the experimental group and the control group were 14%and 56%,respectively,and the quality of life scores were(46.11 ± 3.42) and(39.87 ± 1.17) points, respectively. In the third month after discharge, the experimental group and control group incidence of ostomy complications were 7% and 25%,quality of life scores were(51.59 ± 2.30) points,(44.62 ± 1.95) points. The incidence of colostomy in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P < 0.05),and the quality of life score was higher in the experimental group than in the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Extensive nursing based on internet platform can reduce the incidence of complications of enterostoma and improve the quality of life in elderly patients with stoma.
