有关红山文化时期的生产技术状况和生业结构一直是学界研究的重心之一。关于经济形态或生业结构,学界既有相同结论也有不同认识。一般认为,红山文化有较发达的农业,同时渔猎和采集也占有重要地位。另一种则否认红山文化经济形态以农业为主导。对于红山文化经济形态的研究,需要考虑以下几个问题:一是要进行分期研究,二是注意地区间的差异性,三是应加强对石器功用的研究。当然最关键还是取决于考古新发现,取样应当尽可能尽全时空,避免以偏概全。

For the study of Hongshan culture economy, we need to con-sider the following questions： the first be the necessary of stage research, the second is to pay attention tothe differences between the different regions, third is that we should strengthen the study on the functionof the stoneware, of course, the most important depends on the new archaeological discoveries, taking sam-ples should be as far as possible to the best of all time and space, avoiding to take a part for the whole.
