抗日战争结束后,中国社会没有如预想的那样进入一个和平安定的时期,规模空前的国共内战很快爆发了。中国的留学事业也如同时局一样历经波折起伏,引起了国内外各界的广泛关注。在这一特殊时期,关于中国留学生的选拔和派遣,安置与任用,资助与救济这几个方面出现了很多新的特点,反映出了当时中国留学教育的基本情况,这不仅与广大留学生的命运息息相关,而且对中国的未来产生了深远的影响。

After the Resistance against Japanese Aggression War,Chinese society did not enter into a period of peace and stability as expected,unprecedented scale civil war broke out soon. During this period,China＇s education for studying abroad experienced ups and downs as the current situation,and had aroused widespread concern at home and abroad. In this particular period,the selection and dispatch,placement and appointment,funding and relief of Chinese students＇ studying abroad have many new features,which reflect the general situation of the education for studying abroad in China at that time,and this is not only related to the fate of the majority of students studying abroad,but also has a profound impact on the future of China.
