摘要
袁焕仙及其维摩精舍是当代居士佛教的代表,当在"蜀学"与"居士佛教"两个维度予以评价。站在"蜀学"的立场,袁焕仙及其维摩精舍是其学术思想发展演变的必然结果,而在近代"蜀学"中别出一支;站在"居士佛教"的立场,袁焕仙及其维摩精舍当与欧阳渐及其支那内学院等量齐观——都是中国近代居士佛教的一面旗帜,而较欧阳渐及其支那内学院,袁焕仙及其维摩精舍的宗教色彩更重。
Yuan Huanxian and his Weimojingshe are the representatives of contemporary lay Buddhism. They are evaluated in the two dimensions of "Shu Studies" and "Buddhist Buddhism". In the view of "Shu Learning",Yuan Huanxian and his Weimojingshe are the inevitable result of the development and evolution of his academic thoughts,but not in the "Shu Studies" in modern times. In the view of "Buddhist Buddhism", Yuan Huanxian and his Weimojingshe in rank with Ouyangjian and its academic schools within the territory, all of which are banners of Buddhism in modern China and more religious than those of Ouyang Chiah and its Inner Mongolia Academy of Fine Arts.
