This article details the features of new launched Infineon 62mm 1700V IGBT modules, including its benefits and advantages in mechanical properties, electrical characteristics, switching characteristics and thermal performance. Taking the FFS00R1TKE4 as an example, the excellent switching characteristics of the new product are verified by single module test and dual module paralleling test. Using the Infineon simulation tool IPOSIM to simulate the typical overload conditions of the cascaded MVD product, the output current capability of the 62mm 1700V IGBT modules is obtained. Further based on the current range of the MVD power ceils, the new IGBT solutions for power cells are recommended as well as its obvious system-level advantages to MVD customer. The new products have gained more and more MVD customers＇ wide recognition.
