晚清时期,国人已经认识到林业是与农业同等重要的产业,发展林业不仅能裕国富民、抵制漏巵,还能保护环境、维持生态平衡。关于如何科学地发展林业,他们在森林培育、经营、管理、保护等方面,进行了认真地设计和思考。有识之士对中国林业前途和命运的不断探索,表达了人们强烈要求振兴林业的愿望。

In the late Qing Dynasty, Chinese people had recognized that forestry was an important industry of the country＇s economy, and the development of forestry was not only able to enrich the people, resist leakage, but also to protect the environment and maintain ecological balance. They carefully designed and thought on how to develop forestry mainly in forest cultivation, operation, management, protection and other aspects.The understanding and thinking was result that people of insight continuously explored on the future and destiny of China forestry, also was desire that the people strongly requested to rejuvenate the declined forestry.
