Study of the Pre-Islamic Royal Persian Furniture Design

本文从历史角度探讨了伊朗家具,旨在回顾史前至前伊斯兰时期皇家家具的地位。在研究伊朗家具时,由于缺少真正的实物对象,因而本文的研究主要基于从埃兰人时期(公元前4000年~公元前1000年)到萨珊王朝时期(公元224年~公元651年)存留的证据和资料。这些资料和证据表明,皇家系统是国王形象、社会权威以及某些情况下高层官方权力的象征。

The presented article is upon historical discussion in Irans furniture which aims to review thestatus of royal furniture from pre-historic to pre-Islamic period in Iran. During the research of Iranian＇sfurniture,in the absence of material objects,the methodology is based on the remained evidence fromElamite time until the Sassanid period which considers as an end point to pre-Islamic civilizations. Basedon the literature review and evidence-based research,the royal system brought kings image and his socialpower,or in some cases high level authorities.
