Ding Suxian's Experience in the Treatment of Oral Lichen Planus

丁素先主任根据多年的临床实践,将口腔扁平苔藓病因概括为四类:一是心脾湿热,壅滞化火,循经上攻于口舌;二是肝郁气滞,郁火循肝经燔灼炎上,伤津耗液,灼伤黏膜;三是肝肾不足,阴虚火旺,血热妄行,上炎口舌;四是气血两虚,血虚生热化燥,血热妄行可致黏膜下瘀斑、出血。心脾蕴热证方用导赤散合凉膈散加减,肝郁气滞证方用龙胆泻肝汤加减,肝肾阴虚证方用六味地黄丸合二至丸加减,气血不足证方用炙甘草汤加减。

According to years of clinical practice, Chief Physician Ding Suxian classifies the causes of oral lichen planus （OLP） into tbur categories ：the first is damp heat of the heart and spleen which accumulating and transforming into fire upward to the mouth and tongue;the second is liver depression and qi stagnation,fire flamming up to the liver meridan and impairing body fluid and mucosa;the third is deficiency of the liver and kidney, yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity making blood heat flow upward to the mouth and tongue ;the fourth is deficiency of qi and blood, blood deficiency generating heat and dryness and disturbance of blood heat making ecchymosis and bleeding under the mucosa. Syndrome of heat accumulating in the heart and spleen is treated with Modified Red Guiding Powder Plus Diaphragm-Cooling Powder;syndrome of liver depression and qi stagnation is treated with Modified Gentian Liver-Draining Decoction ;syndrome of yin deficiency of the liver and kidney is treated with Modified Six Ingre- dients Rehmannia Pill Plus Double Supreme Pill;syndrome of qi and blood deficiency is treated with Modified Honey-Fried Lico- rice Decoction.
