Zhang Xiaolei, the actual controller and CEO of Qbao.com, an online finance platform which is founded in 2012, has surrendered himself to the Nanjing police on December 26, 2017, and the latter are conducting an investigation into the company's allegedly illegal fund-raising activities. In April 2017, Shanghai's supervisory department included Qbao.com in the list of irregularly operated businesses as they were unable to locate its registration address. Then in August, some investors said they were unable to withdraw their money through Qbao's APP and that the company's Shanghai headquarters has been closed.
