Cinema Creates Another Life

亚历山大·索科洛夫结合自己的创作体会,分析了美国电影的特点及其与欧洲电影的区别,并对电影艺术的本质提出了独特的看法,分析了电影与文学的关系,他认为蒙太奇其实来自于文学,而吸引力蒙太奇的发现,其实推动了电影变成商品,而电影艺术最重要的在于创造"另一种生活",在于用结尾释放影片没有表达的全部意义,电影创作需要直觉,也需要发现电影字母表上那些未知的语法。

In this interview made in 2005, the Russain filmmaker Alexander Sokurov analyzes, with his personal artistic experience, the characthristics of American cinema and its differences from the European cinema, and talks about his particular points of view on the nature of art, he considers that the montage, the proper language of cinema, comes in fact from the literature, and the discovery of the montage of attraction leads effectually the cinema into the commodity, and the nature of cinema is to creat＂another life＂, which depends directly on human intuition, to invent the unknown grammar according to the alphabet of cinema.
