河北涿鹿故城新发现的鹿纹和人面纹瓦当

Newly Discovered Eave Titles with Deer and Human-face Motifs at the Zhoulu Walled-town in Hebei

2014年7月至9月,河北省文物研究所、吉林大学边疆考古研究中心和涿鹿县文物局对涿鹿故城遗址进行了联合发掘,出土了比较丰富的遗物,其中有6件鹿纹瓦当和3件人面纹瓦当非常具有特色。在已发表的资料中并无相同的形制,涿鹿故城出土的这批鹿纹和人面纹瓦当为研究古代瓦当和建筑艺术提供了宝贵的资料。

In 2014, the Hebei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics, Zhuolu Cultural Relics Bureau, and the Research Center for Chinese Frontier Archaeology of Jilin University conducted a joint excavation at the site of ancient Zhuolu walled-town. Abundant archaeological remains were found during the excavation. This article reports the six pieces of eave tiles with deer motifs and three other eave tiles with human-face motif in the assemblage since similar materials have not been reported so far. The two types of eave tiles newly identified provide precious materials for the study of ancient eave tiles and architecture.
