The advantages of undertaking the transferred work within the function of government by Guizhou Provincial Society of Meteorology under new normal theory were expounded. The measures adopted in undertaking the lightning protection device detection qualification, group standards issuing, excellent papers awarding by the so- ciety in recent years were reviewed. The methods of undertaking government function transfer and improving the comprehensive demonstration capability of the society were summarized.
