彭真从1979年开始了波澜壮阔的立法实践。他秉承实事求是、一切从实际出发的立法理念,为中国立法做出了突出的贡献。他强调:立法要符合中国国情,要坚持社会主义制度;立法要适应中国的法制经验,不能生搬硬套;立法要促进经济发展,解决一些迫切的经济体制改革问题。这些立法思想与实践,对于当前我国法治建设仍然具有极大的现实意义。

Since Peng Zhen started his magnificent practices in legislation in the 1979, he has made great contribution to Chinese legislation for carrying out the legislative concepts of seeking truth from facts and starting from actual conditions. During the legislation, he adhered to actual conditions of China in socialism, geared to the rule of law experiences in China, and attempted to solve a series of issues during the reform of economy to propel its progress. These thoughts and practices were of vital significance to the rule of law progress at that time.
