北伐战争中,农民武装通过参加平定商团叛乱、配合国民革命军第一次东征、协助国民革命政府平息杨刘叛乱、援助省港工人大罢工、支援国民革命军第二次东征以及南伐邓本殷等,对广东革命根据地的统一和巩固发挥了重要作用。与此同时,通过侦察敌情和为国民革命军带路、救护伤病员以及参加讨伐夏斗寅叛变和马日事变等,为保证北伐军的胜利进军作出了积极贡献。

During the northern expedition,the peasant armed forces played an important role in the process of unifying and consolidating the Guangdong base area by participating in pacifying the rebellion of the commercial corps,coordinating with the first eastern crusade of the national revolutionary army,assisting the national revolutionary government to pacify Yang and Liu Rebellion,assisting the provincial workers to strike,supporting the secondary eastern crusade of the national revolutionary army,and fighting against Deng Benyin in the South. At the same time,by scouting the enemy's situation and leading the way of the national revolutionary army,rescuing the wounded and the sick,and participating in the combating Xia Douyin' s mutiny and the Ma Ri Incident,the peasant armed forces made a positive contribution to the victory of the northern expeditionary army.
