Autophagy in Corneal Diseases： A Review

自噬是一种广泛存在于细胞内依赖于溶酶体的降解蛋白质的过程，通过清除细胞内一些受损的异常蛋白质和细胞器以维持细胞稳态。随着自噬在免疫防御、肿瘤、神经退行性变等方面越来越多地受到关注，自噬与眼病的关系也逐渐成为眼科基础研究的焦点。本文对自噬在角膜疾病方面的研究进展做一综述，以期为角膜疾病的治疗提供新的思路和方法。

is a conserved protein degradation process dependent on lysosome. It eliminates defective proteins and organelles and plays a key role in cellular homeostasis. Autophagy is also an important process for immune defense, tumor suppression as well as the prevention of neuronal degeneration. In the eye, autophagy is further discussed in an analysis of cell health and function. This paper reviews the researches on the current understanding of the role autophagy in the health and pathology of cornea diseases.
