丝路佛教传播与祈愿的情感表达——西安地区佛教造像题记旨趣管窥

The Dissemination of Buddhism over Silk Road and the Emotional Expression of Wishes——A Glimpse at the Budhist Statues in Xi'an Area

历史时期,作为丝绸之路起点的关中地区佛教发达,本地民众为了表达对亡者、生者的美好祈愿,把希望、理想、福运都集中寄托在造像上,并通过题记表达出来。西安博物院藏有各时期丰富的佛教造像遗存,其中有很多在佛像台座、光背或碑侧刻有造像记,内容丰富,造像记所载把民众的内心世界通过祈愿的形式真实地刻画了出来,可谓其内心世界的自由流露,反映了民众向往富足、平静生活的心理愿望和内心世界,成为了解彼时佛教传播情况、民众信仰和内心世界最为直接和珍贵的资料。

Historically, Buddhism once prospered in Guangzhong region which is the starting point of the ancient Silk Road. In order to express their good wishes for the dead and the living, people have embodied their hope, ideal and good fortune intensively by making and erecting statues, and narrating the story in the inscription. There are abundant Buddhist relic sculptures of different historical periods in Xi'an Museum,among many of which epigraphs have been carved in the Buddha pedestal, backlight or side of stele. These inscriptions are rich in content, faithfully reflecting the colorful mind of people and their desire for life of peace and prosperity in their depth of heart, and thus are the first-hand and precious register and heritage to know about the spreading of Buddhism and faith and spiritual life of the commonplace people at that period.
