The Falsity and Authenticity of Jingshi zaji,or Miscellaneous Notes on Classics and History

清代文人王玉树所撰《经史杂记》一书成于道光十年,近年收入《续修四库全书》之中。《续修四库全书总目提要》称其征引"浩博"。经过对全书236条的复核,发现与他书皆有雷同。《经史杂记》是一部拼凑而成的欺世之作。

Jingshi zaiji was produced by a Qing scholar known as Wang Yushu in 1830.Recently the book was embodied in A Sequel to Four Treasures.It was even praised as a monograph consulting widely previous works in Synopses of the General Catalogue of A Sequel to Four Treasures.Reexamining critically the total 236 items in Jingshi zazi,the present authors find they were without exception duplicated from previous works.For this reason,it is safe to say that nothing new but scissors-and-paste job could be found in Jingshi zaji,which is undoubtedly a pseudograph.
