古玺印文字考释四则

Explanations of Four Chinese Characters on Ancient Seals

本文考释了古玺印文字中的三个字,一为姓名私玺中作为姓的“乔”;一为燕系玺印中的“峦”;一为姓名私玺中作为人名的“不[心豕]”,读为“不惰”,意谓不要懈怠。另外对燕系玺印中的“甫”字进行了补释,并对“甫易”的地望进行了新的解读。

Abstract： In reference to historical texts, this paper gives new interpretations of some characters on ancient seals： one is about ＂Qiao（乔）＂ as a last name on the personal seal. The second is about ＂luan （峦）＂ on the Yah ancient seal. The third is about Buduo（不[心豕]） as a person＇s name, read for ＂Buduo （不惰）＂, which means don＇t slack off. In addition, this paper gives supplementary explanation of the ＂fu（甫）＂ on the Yan ancient seal, and reinterprets Fuyang（甫昜）＇ geographical location.
