The balance drum is a major part in a water supply pump of a high pressure boiler.In this paper,the structure and material characteristics of the balance drum are analyzed,and the manufacturing process determined.Choosing a suitable positioning scheme and selecting cutting parameters reasonably,machining precision and surface roughness of the balance drum are guaranteed.
