Part of the success of the Philharmonie lay in its acoustic innovation, a third generation of concert hall technology cannot be made possible without the cooperation of the architects and the acousticians. In the milieu of privatization stepping in public project investment and construction management, however, the right to defend public interest by the architects is largely limited. This predicament of architects during the construction of Philhar- monie de Paris eventually lead to the damage of a public benefit.
