A View of Reason from a Postmodern Perspective

对传统理性主义进行批判是后现代主义思潮的重要特征之一。与大多数后现代主义哲学家主张从根本上颠覆理性、解构理性不同,同为后现代主义哲学家的赫勒提出了一种不同的理性观。理性是分享世界的确定性,理性内在地包含道德责任,理性远没有终结,无论是存在主义的选择,还是道德乌托邦的诉求,都体现出强烈的理性责任与理性信念。

Criticizing the traditional rationalism is one of the important characteristics of postmodernism. Different from most postmodern philosophers who advocate subverting and deconstructing reason fundamentally, another postmodern philosopher, Heller, offers a different view of reason. Reason which inherently includes moral rationality is to share the certainty of the world. It is far from the end. Both the choice of existentialism and the moral Utopia demands all refect strong rational responsibility and rational belief.
