Discussion of Key points in Safety Design for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Projects

化工原料药生产项目涉及危险化学品和危险化工工艺。分析了原料药生产中使用的危险化学品具有易燃、易爆、有毒、腐蚀等危险性质,指出生产过程中采用的化工工艺和化工单元操作具有一定的危险性,从工艺设计角度提出了通过对装置采取监控报警、安全连锁和安全泄放等应对措施和设置安全附件,从而为项目设计提供必要的安全技术保障。

The production of chemical API（active pharmaceutical ingredient） involves with hazardous chemicals and processes. In this article, the hazardous properties of chemicals used in the production of API, including fl ammability, explosion, poisonousness and corrosion, were analyzed. It was indicated that there is certain hazards in chemical process and unit operations used in chemical production. It was proposed, from the view points of process design, to use monitoring alarm, safe interlock and safe release devices to provide necessary safety guarantee for project design.
