近代化视域下的民国时期海南岛农业调查与开发

The Investigation and Development of Agriculture on Hainan Island During the Period of the Republic of China From the View of Modernization

在东南沿海地区经济发展水平相对落后的海南岛早在民国初期便实施过多次产业调查与开发,由于岛内外政治环境的不稳定,以致海南岛在长期内经济发展不显著。但是受近代资本主义经济的影响,作为该岛产业大宗的农业在一定程度上得到了发展,逐步走向了近代化的历程。通过分析产业调查报告和开发计划书的内容,着重考察民国时期各阶段以农业为中心的开发过程,以比较研究之方法,民国时期的海南岛可定位正处于农业发展的萌芽阶段。

Hainan Island, witli the relatively backward economy in southeast coastal areaple times of industry investigation and development. Due to the unstable political environment inside and outside the island, its economic development was not significant in quite a long time. However,under the influence of modem capitalism economy, agriculture as one of t!ie biggest industry has been developed to a certain extent. By analyzing the contents of industry survey report and development plan,this paper focuses on the developmentprocess of agriculture as the center in all stages of the Republic of China. Using the comparative research met! i- od, the paperfinds that Hainan Island could be located in the embryonic stage of agricultural development at that period.
