UK Home Zone planning and construction is a chance to summarize the design and transformation of opening residential community in UK. Through analysis and summary of the formation background and infuence of Home Zone projects, and combining with the construction examples in Dundee, it explained the traffc calming measures, shared space and pedestrian priority design ideas. It also elaborated the concept of construction and operation of Home Zone. All of them relieve the troubles to dwellings from development of the society. It puts forward the key problems, the core questions, construction process and operation mechanism in Home Zone and provides reference for the design of green space in opening residential area in China.
