现代文明的背反与人性认识的误区——关于电影《钢琴课》的主题探讨

Antinomy in Modern Civilization and the Misunderstanding of Human Nature:A Thematic Exploration of the Film The Piano

第46届戛纳电影节金棕榈奖获奖影片《钢琴课》中的女主人公艾达身上压抑已久的性本能,在白人男子贝恩的多次要挟乃至性侵犯中被唤醒、被激发,随后并支配和主导着艾达决绝地离开丈夫而跟贝恩走到一起。编导如此肯定和推崇性本能的神力,某种程度上是将人还原成了动物。而观众对这一类影视文学作品的热捧和误读,其实也是混淆了本能和爱情。这从一个角度反映出现代文明的发展过程中的确存在着一种"二律背反"现象,即人类在充分享受着现代文明积极成果的同时,又时时试图突破来自社会规范的限制束缚。面对现代文明的这种缺憾,人类必须全面了解自身,用科学和理性引导自身的精神生活。同时,社会要尽力创造满足人类正常性爱的环境和条件,从而使个人幸福与社会文明协调同步共同发展。

Ada was the heroine of the film The Piano which won the forty-sixth Cannes Golden Palm Award,whose pent up sexual desire was awakened and excited by a white man named Baines with repeated sexual assault. Then this desireled and dominated Ada to leave her husband and stay together with Baines. The film＇s director praised sexual instincthighly which was to degrade man back to animal. Readers who were infatuated with such films or literary works were mostly confused between sexual disire and love. This phenomenon reveals that the development of modern civilization does show a tendency of ＂Antinomy＂,in other words,human beings always try to break through the limitation of social norms while they fully enjoy its achievements. Concerning such shortcoming of modern civilization,human beings must fully know themselves and guide their own emotional life with science and rationality. At the same time,the society should try to create proper conditions to satisfy its individuals＇ normal sexuality,thus synchronizes personal happiness with social civilization.
