加州大学洛杉矶分校(UCLA)教育学院自1939年创建至今,从一个以教师培训为主的学院发展成为教师培训与教育研究并重的全美最好的教育学院之一,既是积极适应美国教师教育政策变革与美国教师专业教育发展策略的结果,也与历任院长卓越而有效的领导分不开。

Founded in 1939, the Graduate School of Education （GSE）, University of California, Los Angeles has been developed from a teacher training college into one of the Best American Graduate Schools, which is famous for its teacher training and educational research. The development of GSE, UCLA is the result of its fulfilling American higher education policies and accommodating to the reforms and strategies of teacher＇ s professional education in the US, and it also has much to do with the excellent leadership of those who have successively served as deans of GSE.
