Quality Measurement of China's Export Agricultural Products:2000-2013

中国出口产品质量是否得到提升,是政策制定者和学术界共同关注的重大问题。本文基于2000—2013年中国海关贸易数据库数据,采用产品层面回归反推方法对中国等方面出口农产品质量进行了测算,并进一步从贸易方式、所有制、HS编码、出口目的国分析中国出口农产品贸易的质量结构特点。研究结果表明:中国出口农产品质量在2000—2013年总体呈上升趋势,2007—2012年呈现出明显的"U"型变化;中国出口农产品质量呈上升趋势这一结论对于不同贸易方式、不同所有制、不同编码农产品、不同出口目的国都基本成立。

Whether the quality of China＇ s export products has been improved is a major issue of common concern among policy makers and academic circles. Based on the data of China＇s customs trade database from 2000 to 2013, this paper adopts the product-level regression method to estimate the quality of China＇s agricultural products, and furtherly analyzes the quality structure character- istics of China＇s exports agricultural products from the aspects of trade, owner- ship, HS and export destination countries. The study finds that：（1） the quality of China＇s export agricultural products shows a rising trend in general from 2000 to 2013, while presenting a significant U-shaped change from 2007 to 2012; （2） the conclusion that China＇s export agricultural products shows an upward trend in the quality is basically valid for different ways of trading, different types of ownership, different HS codes of agricultural products, and different export destination countries.
