"新红学"不是建立在对红学文献的全面把握和系统梳理上的,胡适的话语里甚至从未出现"文献",他喜用的是"证据",这就造成了红学文献的危机与困局。甲戌本《脂砚斋重评石头记》固然一时满足了胡适的"假设",却将"发现"甲戌本的"红学文献"蓄意掩盖与销毁,这真是"证据学"的悖论。

The"New Redology"is not based on a comprehensive grasp and systematic review of literature on Redology. Hu Shih's discourse never even mentioned"literature"; instead,he preferred to use"evidence",which brought about the crisis and predicament of literature on Redology. Although Jiaxu Version of A Dream of Red Mansions temporarily satisfied Hu Shih's"assumptions",he deliberately covered and destroyed the literature on Redology in the"discovered"Jiaxu Version,which is the very paradox of"evidence theory".
