跨文化大学英语课程评估量表的构建与检验

培养具有跨文化能力的高素质外语人才成为大学英语课程改革的核心。课程评估是大学英语课程改革不可或缺的重要组成部分,而测量工具的适切性和有效性是课程评估的基础。然而,目前尚未出现普遍认可的针对跨文化英语课程的测量工具。本研究以跨文化教学理论和课程理论框架为基础,结合高校以跨文化能力培养为导向的英语课程改革实际和课程特点,初步构建了跨文化大学英语课程评估量表,对量表进行了探索性因子分析(EFA)、信度分析和验证性因子分析(CFA)。结果表明量表具有较好的结构信度和效度,整体信度为0.91。本研究为大学英语课程改革的测评提供了数据基础,也为跨文化英语教学评估提供了自我诊断和课程评估的思路。

Intercultural competence has become the focus of college English curriculum reform. As a key component of the reform, curriculum evaluation requires appropriate and valid instrument. However, few instruments exist for internal evaluation of college English curriculum in China. Based on a framework combining theories of intercultural teaching and curriculum design, this study presents the development of a College English Curriculum Evaluation Survey （CECES）. Initial validation is also performed using exploratory factor analysis （EFA）, reliability test and confirmatory factor analysis （CFA）. Results have revealed strong evidence for good reliability and validity, with an overall reliability of 0.91. This study provides empirical evidence for an evaluation of the college English curriculum reform, and serves as an instrument for assessing intercultural teaching in English curriculum.
