文学译介中译者与读者的互动——以昆德拉作品的汉译为例

On the interaction between readers and translators in literary translation: Taking Chinese translation of Milan Kundera's works as a test case

文学作品经由翻译开启其后续生命,而读者通过对译作的阅读与阐释参与作品的再创造,译者与读者在文学翻译与传播的过程中建立了不可避免的联系。本文以昆德拉作品的汉译为例,探讨译者与读者的互动关系。读者在昆德拉作品的译介中具有重要的地位,读者的期待与审美需求对翻译造成影响,其对译文的关注形成读者与译者间的多种互动的可能。其中,读者针对昆德拉作品译文的批评对于开拓翻译的可能性、促进对原文的理解起着积极作用,体现出读者与译者之间深刻的互动性的价值。

The life of literary works is renewed through translation, by reading and interpreting which, readers contribute to their recreation. Hence readers and translators are involved in an inextricably complex relationship during the translation and dissemination of literature. By subjecting to close scrutiny of the Chinese translation of Milan Kundera＇ s work, this essay ex- plores the interactive relationship between readers and translators. As a crucial part of Kundera translation, readers exert their influence with their expectations and asethectic needs, thus fostering a wide array of interactive possibilities with translators. Their criticism of the translations plays a constructive role in both expanding the translation possibilities and in understanding Kundera＇ s works. It epitomizes the deep, valuable interaction between readers and translators.
