摘要
埃兹拉·庞德是20世纪英美现代主义诗歌的灵魂人物。庞德诗歌革新的出发点不是"美学自主性"或者"诗歌本身"价值问题,而是改造社会,即通过文化干预而达到"美国复兴"的最终目标,"建立一个人间乐园"。本文试图从现代性视角,结合庞德的创作实践、理论主张及时代语境,剖析庞德的文化救赎思想,从而揭示庞德致力于文学变革的内在原动力。
Ezra Pound is the soul of Anglo-American modernist poetry. He initiated the modernist poetic revolution not for the purpose of ＂aesthetic autonomy＂ or the value of poetry itself, but for the purpose of changing the world, or ＂to make a paradise terrestie＂. That is to say, Pound sought to launch a movement of ＂American Renaissance＂ through cultural interference. This paper, through a detailed analysis of Pound＇s creative works, his critical views and historical context, purports to examine Pound＇s ideas of cultural salvation from the perspective of modernity. Hence it aims at revealing the motive power of Pound＇ s aesthetic revolution.
