The advantages of the influence of new media on college students＇ ideological and political education include the immediacy and interaction in new-media communication and the sharing and huge amount of information;the disadvantages cover the more difficult regulations caused by new-media flat communication and information fragmentation; the opportunity factor of the new media provides a carrier platform for the ideological and political education of college students and an impetus for the modern transformation of ideological and political education; the threat factor is that the new media challenges the traditional education mode and dispels the ideological function of ideological and political education of college students. Facing the opportunities and challenges brought by the new media, in the ideological and political education of college students we should positively deal with the new media to promote the transformation and development of the ideological and political education of college students.
