昔日低洼烂泥塘,变身美丽“桃花源”

The Transformation of a Muddy Pond

河水清清，波光粼粼，河面整洁干净；小楼傍河而建，房前屋后的绿树花卉生机盎然……笔者一走进湖州市吴兴区环渚街道瑶台村，就被眼前的美景所吸引。在瑶台村史家湾塘，张阿培正和打捞队的两个队员巡查水塘。河面两侧新安装的木桩护栏整齐有序，河塘中央喷泉和水生植物作点缀，呈现出一派勃勃生机。

Yaotai Village in Huanzhu Community of Huzhou, Zhejiang, underwent slumping economy due to its low-lying terrain and harsh environment. Through recent years’ construction and channel improvement, it becomes one of the models of constructing beautiful villages. The low-lying muddy pond near the village has been turned into a tree nursery covering an area of 200 mu or so, which not only settles part of the employment problem and increases the income of villagers but also improves the overall environment while providing flowers and trees for the village. The past muddy pond has been transformed into a beautiful "Peach Garden".
