The mobile digital carrier as a representative of new reading media has continuous impact on the traditional paper books, and the research on the design of mobile digital reading carrier is lagging behind resulting in a series of problems concerning the actual use of the carrier. There exist many problems such as being identified easily; readability and the conversion to easily accepted media. These are the essence of visual media. Layout design is a special sort of carrier which can provide a better reading platform for the reader. Design aesthetics, the reader-friendly orientation, adaptation to portable mobile carrier, and the use of digital technology to process information will release greater space for the future development of mobile carrier. And smart processing, AI control and interaction are the key areas in the future.
