The German Ideologyis the classical work of Marx and Engels systematically criticizing ideology.Marx and Engels criticized the various German ideologies at the time based on the practical theory of historic materialism,focusing on the relation between ideology and material practice and the relation between ideology and ruling class.Then on this basis Marx and Engels criticized reverse and contradictioncovering ideology.Grasping accurately these two relations is of great importance to sort out and interpret correctly of Marx's study of the critique of ideology and the practical theory of historic materialism.
