The paper introduces the present situation of the development of minimalist architecture, explains the connotation of minimalism and the reasons for its development, and makes an analysis of minimalist architecture in terms of environment, shape, material, light, shadow and de-tails. On this basis, we have a better understanding of minimalist architecture. Lastly, this paper proposes suggestions on the development of min-imalist architecture in China.
