In 2017, for the 45 th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, the China Educational Technology Association and the Japan Society of Educational Engineers signed an academic exchange agreement. In order to have a better understanding of the situation of education informatization, educational technology research hotspots and international exchanges between China and Japan, our research team conducted an interview of Professor Suzuki Keming, president of the 33 rd National Assembly of Japan Institute of Education. Professor Suzuki pointed out that there is still a large regional disparity in the construction of Japan's education informatization. The evaluation of IT capabilities of students and teachers is sluggish and needs to be further promoted at the national level. Moreover, the concept of institutional research based on statistical data analysis is put forward at the level of learning development, looking forward to enhancing the academic research activities through SIG, promoting international academic influence with the cooperation of international journals and conferences, and conducting more in-depth educational practice research on the current research hotspots through activities of the Institute. Meanwhile, put forward more specific implementation plan on international cooperation, so as to develop and promote cooperation and exchange in the field of education technology between China and Japan.
