Pearl S.Buck Studies in 21^(st)-century China:Topics and Methods

21世纪以来中国赛珍珠研究取得了许多突破性成果,赛珍珠在中国的形象有了很大的变迁。但是,赛珍珠的许多作品,特别是她的中后期作品,以及她从事的社会活动,我们迄今为止尚未能给予关注,或关注不够,因而亟须研究。为确保这些研究的有效展开,我们需要继续拓展学术视野和研究领域,合理更新研究理论和方法。

Many breakthroughs have been made in Pearl S.Buck studies in 21st-century China,and Mrs Buck got a new image in China.However,so far we have failed to pay（enough）attention to many of her writings,especially the later ones,and social activities.To fill in the gap,we need to broaden our horizons and make use of more and newer research methods.The present paper attempts to share with Chinese Pearl S.Buck scholars some thoughts on an exploration of the new or neglected topics and introduce new research methods so as to promote the studies to a higher level with joint academic efforts.
