摘要
在高等教育趋向国际化的背景下,选取苏州科技大学和南威尔士大学这两所办学理念、学校定位、特色专业相近的中英高校作为考察对象,比较中英大学在教育行政管理、学时、专业和课程设置、课堂教学内容和教学方法、教学考核和监督、教学辅助、教师职位和职称、学生管理和实践教学环节等领域的异同,为中国应用型大学改革拓宽思路、探寻方法。
In the context of higher education internationalization, the paper takes Suzhou University of Science and Technology and University of South Wales as the study objects, as they share similar educational concepts, orientations, and academic programs. The paper highlights the similarities and differences between the Chinese and British university education in terms of administration, academic hours, programs and curricular arrangements, classroom teaching contents and approaches, teaching evaluation and supervision, teaching assistance, teachers’ job titles and technical posts, student management, and practical education programs. The paper attempts to expand the horizon, and to explore the approaches to the reform of China’s application-oriented universities .
