The Academic Communication Between Zhu Ziqing and Lu Qinli

朱自清是逯钦立的良师,也是他的益友。朱自清先生爱才好士,对逯钦立深相礼接,采擢荐进。从现存的书信、日记等史料看,他们二人在学术上交往频繁,在生活上相互体贴关爱。两位学者相濡以沫、契若金兰,堪为后世学人之楷模。

Zhu Ziqing is both a great teacher and a good friend of Lu Qinli. As a man that cherished talents, Zhu Ziqing treated Lu Qinli with due respect, and repeatedly promoted and recommended Lu. Based on the existing literature such as letters and diaries, Zhu and Lu kept frequent academic communication, and took care of the daily life of each other. The mutual help and profound friendship between the two scholars set great examples for the later scholars in the academia.
