毛泽东革命功利主义伦理思想的基本特征体现在理论形式和价值内容两个方面。在伦理理论表达之形式上,它扬弃并兼具道义论、后果论、德性论的话语方式之优长,表现出一种全面性理论的特性。在价值选择之内容中,它是向人自身、向社会自身的完全的复归,表现出一种指向生活实践的积极性特质。毛泽东的功利主义思想,因其革命性理论品格而超越了中国传统功利主义和资产阶级的功利主义在道德功能论上的非道德主义的狭隘性以及泛道德主义的空洞性。

The essential characteristics of the ethical thought of Mao Zedong's revolutionary utilitarianism is reflected in two aspects: theory form and value content. In the form of the expression of ethical theory,it has sorted out the good from the bad and made full use of the advantages of discourse way of deontological theory,consequentiality theory and virtue theory. In the content of value selection,it is a complete regression of man himself and society itself,reflecting a positive character and pointing to living practice. Because of its revolutionary theory character,Mao Zedong' s utilitarianism thought transcended the limitation of the non moral thought of Chinese traditional utilitarianism and bourgeois utilitarianism in moral finctionalism,and also it exceeded unspecificness of pan-moralism.
