The Historical Context of an Medical Canon in Early Tang:Yang Shangshan and His Grand Basis of Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon

杨上善的《黄帝内经太素》在《内经》传递的谱系中位置重要。杨上善撰注《太素》时在李贤府中,但此书无论在李贤府中的文化工程中,还是在官方医学的知识传递中,都并非处在核心的位置,而且在其初撰成时,显然缺乏足够的环境去赢得同时代的读者。但这部著作和杨上善的经历,却也提供了另外一个角度,即如何在写本时代的文本流动性和多样性之下理解经典权威的造成;以及在边缘的经典整理者,如何面对不同知识权力和思想资源做出选择,进而展示出经典权威在历史语境中被塑造的过程。

This article tells two twisted but distinct stories, one about a medical canon, and the other about the grand context of the reading and using medical canons in the same period. This canon, which gained magnificent authority in the woodblock print period and the modern world, was at the margin at the time it was written. It was a tiny part of an enormous cultural project sponsored by the imperial government, hidden in court library with other thousands of volumes. However, it reflected the bigger picture as a mirror at the margin： how did a medical canon come to be included in the imperial cultural project？ How did cultural trends in imperial court and bureaucratic system shape the making of a medical canon and medical knowledge？
