In this article, the designs, structure and functions of residential buildings＇ energy consumption monitoring system are introduced. The system can realize the acquisition, transmission and storage of energy consumption data. Then the classified and sectional energy consumption can be measured. And the system has been successfully applied to a residential building, and the graphical energy consumption analysis results can be reached. This provides an important reference for guiding residents to save energy. At the same time, it also provides the basis for the government departments to formulate relevant energy-saving regulations.
