摘要
1999年高考扩招以来,我国高等教育领域出现了一系列普通本科学校更名,其涉及区域、类型及学科门类等三个切入点。学校之所以热衷更名,与现行高等教育管理体制、传统社会观念及自身发展内在诉求密切相关。在现行体制下,更名确实能够给普通本科学校带来短期收益,但盲目更名后的名不副实未必能使学校走上健康发展之路。各级高等教育行政主管部门应注重高等教育宏观治理的转型,规范程序,利用政策引导高校更名回归理性,普通本科学校自身也应通过科学更名真正实现内涵式发展。
When the university education allows a large scale of enrolling in 1999, a series of ordinary colleges and universities have been renamed in the field of higher education. The change of names involves three aspects, which are districts, types and disci- pline fields. The reason why colleges and universities are keen on changing names is closely related with the current higher education administrative system, traditional social concept and the inherent requirements for self - development. Under current systems, change of names truly could bring short- term benefits to colleges and universities. However, after changing name blindly, colleges and uni- versities are more in name than in reality which may not definitely lead colleges and universities on the path towards healthy develop- ment. Higher education administrative departments at all levels should pay close attention to the transition of macroscopic management, regularize procedures, and guide colleges and universities to return to rationality with policies. Colleges and universities should also try to achieve the connotative development by changing names in a scientific and reasonable way.
