Daily Communication: A Perspective of Intercultural Communication Research in Minority Nationality Regions

跨文化传播是一项日常生活实践,是由差异文化主体借助物、语言符号、操作行为等中介在特定时间段内不断进行的自发性、重复性的活动实践。以往对少数民族地区跨文化传播议题的研究大多注重从国家政策、媒介使用、国家认同等宏观层面进行阐释或分析,较少从观察族际日常生活的交往实践中构建理论,而这一视角恰恰是剖析或洞察族际互动关系的最佳维度。探寻少数民族地区跨文化传播议题,还需回到少数民族地区地方性知识内部,把握当地族群的生存与交往逻辑,去认识并理解不同族群在日常生活中的交往实践。

Intercultural communication is a kind of practice in everyday life, also a spontaneous and repetitive activity, which is carried out by subjects of different cultures with the aid of objects, language symbols and operating behaviors during a specific period of time. In the past, the field of intercultural communication research about the minority nationality regions, mostly focus on issues from the national policy, media usage, national identity and other macro level interpretations or analysis, less construction theory from the observation on ethnical practices in everyday life, which, however, is precisely the best dimension to analyse or examine the relationship among ethnic groups thoroughly. Therefore, exploring the issues of intercultural communication in minority nationality regions, researchers should turn towards the local knowledge, and grasp the logic of their survival and communication among local ethnic groups, to recognize and understand the communication practice in everyday life from different minorities.
