Investigation on the Rules of Combination Codes in ICD-10

合并编码作为《疾病和有关健康问题的国际统计分类第十次修订本》(10th version of the international classification of diseases,ICD-10)中规定的疾病编码过程中重要的环节,缺少明确的规则,影响编码结果正确率和可靠性。通过学习ICD-10定义的合并编码概念、专家访谈、观察诊断实例以及信息分析等方法挖掘合并编码的规则。根据检索ICD-10(第三卷),国家卫计委、北京市卫生局信息中心以及中国人民解放军卫生系统的标准诊断库共计111 283条诊断信息,归纳出3种合并编码类型,整理出520组合并编码诊断组合,并总结成1条合并编码规则,为提高疾病编码准确率提供支持。

Codes combination is an important step in the process of diseases coding defined in the lOth version of the international classification of diseases （ICD-10） but lack of regulated rules, which impacts on the accuracy and reliability of diseases coding. By learning the conceptions of combination codes, doing expert interview, analyzing instances and information, we find the rules in combination codes. According to retrieval 111283 items in total from the third volume of ICD-IO as well as the standard diagnostic libraries from National Health and Family Planning commission, Information Center of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Health and the Chinese People＇s Liberation Army, we sum up three types of combination codes, get 520 groups combination codes instances based on the ICD-10 third volume and conclude a rule of combination codes in order to support in improving accuracy of disease coding better.
