浅析动词词组和动词词组复合体的主要特征和结构模式

Analysis on the main featuresand patterns of verbal group and verbal group complexes

韩礼德(1994)和汤普森(2000)均认为,动词词组、动词词组复合体以及小句复合体之间的界限有时是模糊的。本文从功能句法角度分别对这三个概念进行比较,尝试运用被动化来修复小句复合体中want sb.to do这类嵌有逻辑主语并被认为是动词词组复合体的结构,使其重新具备典型动词词组复合体的特征,明晰上述概念的界限,并梳理动词词组和动词词组复合体的主要特征和结构模式,以便在对句子进行句法分析尤其及物性分析时能更清晰地定位"过程"类型及其顺序关系。

Both Holliday （1994） and Thompson （2000） have proposed that the boundaries among verbal group, verbal group complex and clause complex could sometimes be blurred. This article tries to make comparisons between verbal group and verbal group complex, verbal group complex and clause complex respectively, and makes a proposal in which passivisation could be used to retrieve a typical verbal group complex from those structures that share similar pattern with want sb. to do which has a logical subject somebody embedded in between. By doing so this article tries to clarify the boundaries among those concepts mentioned above, to redisplay the main features and patterns of typical verbal groups and verbal group complexes in hope of defining the process and its sequence relation when making a syntactic analysis, especially a transitivity one.
