Processing quality for automobile cover panel die directly influenced the final quality of the skin pans. In the die manufacturing, it＇s very important and difficult that taking a reasonable program and choosing the appropriate processing method to improve the quality, which should be constantly enhanced. This paper mainly described the application of the command ‘surface group＇ of software WorkNC in die programming, which is conducive to generate reasonable tool path, thus improve the efficiency of programming and machining.
